No Strong DevOps Expertise Required
Anyone can deploy without deep DevOps knowledge. Visual project management with a web UI makes it easy to view and manage all projects. Not overloaded with unnecessary features or complex integrations.
Secure by Design
Admin authentication with token-based login, project-level API keys for deployment credentials, and complete user control - your servers, your trusted providers, no data uploads to our platform.
IIS-Specific Features
Built with IIS in mind - IIS website deployment, application pool management with automatic start/stop during deployment, clean deployment options to remove old files, and exclusion patterns to skip specific files/folders.
CI/CD Integration Ready
GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps support out of the box with ready-to-use deployment templates and built-in tasks.
Fits Your Existing Workflow
Works with your current tools - GitHub, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or any CI/CD system. No need to change your existing development process. Just add deployment automation.

🚀 Time to Deploy
From download to first deployment
Web Deploy Route
🕰️ Legacy Technology
Built on old, outdated technologies. Not designed for modern deployment workflows and lacks contemporary security practices.
🚧 Steep Learning Curve
Complex command-line parameters, provider options, and manifest configurations. Requires significant trial and error to master.
❌ Unreliable
Known stability issues with connection timeouts, authentication problems, and inconsistent behavior across different IIS versions.
🔄 Limited Rollback
Rollback requires rebuilding the code again, which cannot guarantee the same result as the previous version. No reliable way to revert to exact previous state.
Enterprise Route
💰 Expensive
Octopus Deploy and enterprise DevOps tools come with hefty licensing fees and infrastructure costs.
🏗️ Heavy Programs
Requires large, heavy programs with massive functionality overhead. Overkill for simple IIS deployment needs.
📚 Steep Learning
Teams need extensive training and strong DevOps expertise to manage complex deployment pipelines.
🎯 Overkill
Designed for enterprise DevOps, not focused on simple IIS deployment needs.
The Bottom Line
While other solutions are either too complex, unreliable and outdated (Web Deploy) or too expensive (Enterprise tools), ABCD Lite is the sweet spot - simple, focused, and cost-effective for IIS deployment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ABCD Lite and IIS deployment
What is ABCD Lite?
ABCD Lite is a modern, single-binary deployment tool specifically designed for IIS (Internet Information Services) deployment. It eliminates the complexity of traditional deployment methods by providing a simple, reliable, and cost-effective solution that works with your existing CI/CD pipeline.
Why does ABCD Lite exist?
This product was a response to another increase in the cost of other software products (including the product associated with tentacles). I work with different ecosystems, including Windows/IIS, and first of all, I need a simple and reliable solution for deployment. I think if you are reading this, you also need such a solution.
Are you Octopus killer?
No. Octopus Deploy is a good solution in its area. It provides strong and efficient ways for continuous deployments with a lot of functionality. If you just need to deploy IIS websites - you much probably don't need the whole Octopus Deploy system.
Do I still need to have a DevOps person?
It depends. I would say yes, because I'm a DevOps too :) But seriously, it's always better to have a DevOps professional than not to have one. However, if you know what a CI pipeline is, how to set it up, and you can read the documentation, setting up deployments with ABCD Lite will not be hard for you.
Do I need to change my existing CI/CD stack?
No, you don't need to change your existing CI system. ABCD Lite is designed to work with your current setup, making it easy to integrate into your existing deployment workflow without requiring major infrastructure changes.
Is ABCD Lite suitable for enterprise environments?
While ABCD Lite is designed to be simple and focused, it can be used in enterprise environments. However, if you need complex enterprise features with diverse workflows, you might consider other tools. ABCD Lite is perfect for teams that want reliable IIS deployment without the complexity and cost of enterprise solutions.
Does ABCD Lite support rollback functionality?
ABCD Lite makes rollback much easier than other tools by using versioned artifacts and artifact registries that keep frozen-state artifacts. This allows you to easily rollback to any existing version. However, it's important to note that rollback is not always a simple operation - while artifact rollback is straightforward, it cannot automatically solve some problems like database migrations rollback, which require additional consideration and planning.
What makes ABCD Lite different from enterprise deployment tools?
Enterprise tools like Octopus Deploy are heavy programs with massive functionality overhead designed for complex enterprise DevOps. ABCD Lite is focused specifically on IIS deployment needs, eliminating unnecessary complexity while providing reliable, cost-effective deployment capabilities.
Do you have a trial version?
No, we don't offer a trial version, but feel free to use the Personal version if needed. It has only count limits - the core functionality works the same as the paid versions.
Can I use this product commercially? Even personal?
Nobody stops you from using the Personal version for commercial purposes, but most probably it will not fit your needs. The Personal version has usage limits that are typically too restrictive for commercial environments. For commercial use, we recommend choosing the appropriate paid version that matches your deployment volume and requirements.
